Professional Biography
Walter is a Monitoring and Evaluation, Community and Enterprise Development specialist with over three decades of experience promoting smallholder farmers and vulnerable communities.
He upholds participatory, person-centred development and extension approaches while strengthening resilience to climate change impacts. He has implemented over 20 community-based climate change projects, improving livelihoods of over 100,000 smallholder farmers in Western Kenya.
Walter has successfully facilitated participatory strategic planning for numerous institutions and conducted community trainings in climate change resilience, Village Savings and Loaning Associations (VSLAs), community agribusiness, and development of extension guides and materials.
